Combating the Underground Economy – Unlicensed and Uninsured
This seminar is a collaboration between the Statewide Investigative Fraud Team (SWIFT) of the Contractors State License Board, Kern County District Attorney, and the Better Business Bureau. The event is sponsored by the Kern County Home Builders Association, State Compensation Insurance Fund, and the Kern County Builders Exchange.
The seminar is on Thursday June 30th from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce.

Are you interested in attending a workshop in Bakersfield to become a participating contractor for the Energy Upgrade California utility rebate program? The workshop would provide an overview of the program and detail the application process for contractors.
California Building Performance Contractors Association is the PG&E program implementer for Energy Upgrade California, which provides rebates up to $3,500 per home for energy saving home improvements. They are coming to Bakersfield next Wednesday to make a presentation to local contractors to share how they can participate.
